VISIONAcademic Assistance and Tutoring (AAT) provides an inclusive and interactive environment where students participate to reinforce and retain knowledge in multi-disciplinary writing, math and science through workshops, individual sessions, drop-in tutoring, online resources, and supplementary courses provided by both professional staff and peer tutors.
We strive to support students in developing the academic competence and confidence that will help them succeed at UC Davis. UC Davis students can get help with writing for ANY course they are taking. Writing Specialists lead workshops and offer appointments. Schedule a demo. We began using TutorTrac years ago after trying to manage all of our activities first on paper, then using spreadsheets and a database, and finally a home-grown software solution.
There was a lot of time spent (wasted) manually inputting data, crunching numbers, and creating reports from scratch. The Learning Assistance Center offers tutoring for UC students at our office in 2510B French Hall West. Sessions are one-on-one with a subject-specific tutor to answer your questions. Our dedicated tutors participate in ongoing training to equip them with strategies to support extended classroom learning. Tutoring is free of charge, and students may register using the link to the right. The LAC offers tutoring in more than 300 undergraduate courses including subjects such as math, science, languages, business, and writing.
