Adults going back to college essay
I decided to go back to school for not only myself, but my son as well. I got sick of living paycheck to paycheck barely making ends meet. Not being able to provide for my son was very frustrating. My family and friends has contributed to me wanting to further my education. I look at them in see great accomplishment and fulfillment in their eye. I think to myself. Only 27 minutes to go. Millions of adults ask their self the same question day after day.
The good news is that there are enough benefits of deciding to go back to college as an adult that they seem to outweigh the drawbacks for almost anyone.One reason that weighs heavily on adult minds is the financial aspect of how to afford to attend college and earn a degree. There are a few options you can research when deciding on how to pay to further your education. Starting a college education in your 20s is a completely different ball game than choosing to go to college when you are 40.
This is mostly because you are at a completely different stage in your life at both ages and you tend to have a lot more responsibilities at the older age. You are not usually responsible for anyone else except yourself in your 20s. It was a very easy decision for me to come to Monroe Community College, as I had not one to answer beside myself. Currently, I have do not have the responsibilities that someone 20 years older would have to face. Being a mother, wife, father, and husband is a full time job.
