Describe what made you decide on this book.The SettingWhere did the story take place. Was it in a city or on a farm. Was it a made-up place or somewhere in outer space. Give a good description of the place with as much detail as possible.The CharactersWho was the story about. Was there just one main character or were there a few. When you write about the characters, include their names and what they look like.The StoryWhat happened in the book. It is best to enjoy the book and not think about the report until you have finished reading.
Now, absorb and think about what it was you read. Get up from your chair, walk around, then sit down at the table and start to write. Know the requirements of your assignment. Ask questions until you understand it completely. Can you read any book. Must it be a specific length. A specific genre or subject. How many words should it be. It is not meant to write the report for you.
