how to make a perfect resume for freshers

This year I switched up the biography project for my 5th graders, they made gift boxes. Everyone picked a person that they would like to research, the onlylimitations is that there must be a book on their level aboutthat person in our library. Our library has a great selection of biography books so thekids were able to find a book easily for this project. After completing the research they began working on the shoebox. The students wrapped a shoe box and made 4 gifts for the person they researched based on what the person would like or want.

I LOVE, LOVE how they turned out. The students were so creative with their gifts. Check out the projects below. Biography Gift Box ProjectLeonardo Da Vinci - copy of Mona Lisa, paint, paint brushAmelia Earhart - pontoon boat, GPS, Iphone, and parachuteMartin Luther King Jr - bus, picture of BOOK REPORT DATES AND INFOStudents will be assigned a monthly book report. These reports are to encourage students to read books, finish books, try different genres, present orally to a small group, and celebrate completing a book with a creative project.

The project will be assigned 1-2 weeks prior to the due date. Details and examples of the assigned projects can be found here on this web page after the assignment is given. (Last to first order)Be sure you finish reading your book several days before your report is due. Common Core is putting more of a focus on Nonfiction Text. Therefore as teachers we need to find fun and creative ways to spark our students interest in this informational text. Here is a quick and easy way to have your students practice reading a biography of a famous person, then write about their accomplishments and type of character.

Studying them can also inspire students as they read about people who overcame problems, faced obstacles and criticism, but persevered to succeed. In this unit, students will explore different biographies and then choose one notable person of interest to study in-depth. Through interactive activities, students will present what they have learned to the class in a first-hand account as they transform themselves into their notable person.
